Shawn T. Hannon

Shawn Hannon joined the law firm of Yavitch & Palmer as an associate in 2006. He concentrates his law practice in the areas of Criminal Defense; DUI; OVI/OMVI;DWI; Drivers License Suspension; Driving While Intoxicated; Sex Crimes; Drug Crimes; Parole and Probation; Traffic Offenses; Appellate Practice; and Sexual Assault.

Shawn is admitted to the Ohio Bar and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio and holds a Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Capital University.

While attending Capital University Law and Graduate Program, Shawn was a member of the Moot Court Board. He was inducted into the Order of the Curia, an honorary legal fraternity, and also worked as a law clerk at Yavitch & Palmer.

A lifelong resident of Ohio, Shawn grew up in Grove City. He did his undergraduate work at Bowling Green State University where he played on the varsity soccer team. While at Bowling Green, he joined the United States Army Reserve as a member of the 2nd Battalion, 11th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science in 1991 and worked in the telecommunications field, managing a call center and supervising close to seventy employees for several years before deciding to pursue his law degree.

Professional organizations to which Shawn belongs include the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar, and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Shawn continues to serve as an active member of the Ohio Army National Guard.
