Athens, Ohio native Mickey Prisley joined the law firm of Yavitch & Palmer in February of 2008. Prior to joining the firm, Mickey served as an Assistant City Attorney for the city of Columbus from 2000 - 2008. In that capacity, he prosecuted every type of misdemeanor offense in Franklin County Municipal Court. During these years, he was appointed to prosecute the case of City of Cincinnati vs. Steven Roach, the white Cincinnati police officer accused of shooting and killing an unarmed black youth. The case drew national attention and the trial was carried live on Court TV. Prior to coming to Columbus, Mickey served as an Assistant Athens County Prosecuting Attorney for over seven years, handling felony prosecutions (including capital murder, murder, felonious assault, and sexual battery).
